Okay, this is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite movies. With the following elements present, you’ve got entertainment gold:
– Denzel Washington
– Christopher Walken
– Christopher Walken ‘telling a story’. Nobody tells a story as good as Christopher Walken. Nobody. Granted, the story he tells in Man on Fire is very, very small in comparison to most of his on-screen narratives. But still. We get a small story. And that is enough to get us asking for more…
– lots of guns
– lots of payback
– awesome film editing
– awesome music
Here’s the clip from Man on Fire that I’ve decided to highlight: (be sure when you click to watch the video, click the “YouTube” symbol on the clip below to open a separate window. The site refresh will interrupt your viewing it otherwise. Thanks)
That’s a great scene. He takes out a number of people despite finding himself in an impossible situation.
This movie has been on heavy rotation for the last month or two on the movie channels. If you’ve not seen it yet, make tracks. Seriously. This is one Hell of a movie.
