So if a Ford Pick-up is used to run down 13 people on a busy sidewalk, the Ford Motor Company has liability? They must now design their truck to automatically shutdown after it hits the tenth person?

If liability insurance is the concern here are my suggestions:
1-Just in case you may text on a phone. You are required to buy “Text” insurance.
2-Just in case you may talk on a phone. You are required to buy “Phone” insurance.
3-Just in case you may drink or take drugs. You are required to buy “DUI” insurance.
The above itself will do the most good for the public

This is such BS! What else would you expect from O’Donnell. If a gun blows up in your hand then THAT is product liability. If someone misuses your product, that is NOT product liability. By their logic, Stanley tools and Louisville slugger would be liable for beatings with hammers and baseball bats.

Oh, and don’t bother calling a Glock mag (which fits completely within the grip) a “high capacity magazine”. That is just fiction. I would say that a Lawrence O’Donnell show which lasts more than 60 seconds is “bloated propaganda programming” and I would be far more accurate than you are about high capacity magazines.

The CDC states that in the year of 2010 there were 33,687 motor vehicle traffic deaths. It would seem that the automotive industry isn’t doing a good enough job in making a supposed safe product, that isn’t designed to kill, safe.

Okay, Larry, show me how many people are killed or injured by DEFECTIVE firearms.

Not criminal use, not suicides, but DEFECTS in the firearm which kill or injure.
