If I possessed a firearm that warranted a felony in the State of California and were caught doing so, I’d be brought up on charges.
I certainly hope that in this case charges are brought. Here we have an elected official in the State of California with an illegal assault weapon. Well, she had an illegal assault weapon in her house. It’s gone now. Someone stole it. It seems law enforcement is not ruling out charges for the gun being stolen, yet.
But what about charges for possession of the firearm in the first place? She should be made an example out of this. Because if the rest of us are supposed to live by the rules, so should elected officials.
