Nice weapons. When Imwas an LEO the pistol team were issued the Colt Pythons. They were fantastic and great shooters. I took first place in most of the competititve shooting events. The only restrictions for the firearms, was they had to be chambered for the 38 Special Caliber. As you know, the revolver had to be, ” cocked and pulled,” which made Rapid Fire or the 10 – Second event difficult for the revolver shooter!

The usual winner/s of the competitons, of which I participated, at these particular evens, we’re using the Colt .45 Caliber Pistol, but chambered for the 38 Special Caliber. They had the “edge” of course, because they didn’t have the disadvantage that us Colt Python shooters did during the 10-Second Rapid Fire portion of the competition!

Just a bit of trivia, comparing the two firearms used, for competitive shooting in the ’50s. Thanks for all your informative videos, HT42 :)
