VERY troubling! So what’s being done to prevent this crap from happening with greater frequency? What will it take for them to get their guns back?

Why does this “trouble” you? Can you honestly muster a good argument as to why convicted felons and those found mentally-ill should possess a firearm?

Thank you, Ginny Simone and NRA news. May we please have more examples from California, New York and Marryland.

I’m a little concerned over the tone of the article. As a law-abidding gun-owner, I have to agree that felons and those found to be mentally-ill by a court should not own or possess a firearm. Felons don’t get the right to vote, either. I know it stinks for someone to have made a “wrong-turn” early in their life and now have straightened themselves out and have rights taken away for their entire life. But when will people understand that there are sometimes long-standing consequences for their bad or misguided actions.

Every time some politician wants some new form of gun control legislation, we on the 2A side of the table scream “no new laws”, “there’s already enough gun regulation”, or “enforce the laws we already have on the books”. To now take a position that someone has a problem with a law that has been on the books for decades only undermines our goal of no new regulation and makes us all look like hypocrites.
