Wow, this is intense.  The guy with the concealed gun gets pounded.  Seems he asked for it, though.

So many things to discuss about this video and the actions of the man with the firearm.  I’m posting it to Facebook if you would like to join the discussion, I’m sure it will be interesting…

Looks like it ended as it should have, the a55hole that started the fist fight got his ass whooped. He then pulled the gun probably out of shock of his ass whoop’n but his brain kicked in and he decided to put it away and end the situation.

Don Bartlett March 25, 2013 at 9:28 pm

Bad choice. No responsible person that carries a firearm should allow that situation to take place. Period. Deciding to carry a weapon is a strong decision wrought with responsibility. He appraoched them, he instigated it, and then when got handed his butt, pulled out his weapon. Poor choice; threat over, their backs to him, started by him. Makes us all look bad, unfortunately. Had this been a sitation where they approached him, with what appeared to be strong intent to inflict serious bodily harm or a weapon i hand he would have been justified. But not in this case, in my humble opinion.

Don Bartlett March 25, 2013 at 9:29 pm

“A situation” and “Weapon in hand”….. typos. Pardon me.

Eli March 25, 2013 at 10:17 pm

No, you’re absolutely right I agree with your statement 100% once you get a ccw permit you have MORE responsibility to avoid situations like this. He approached he’s automatically asking for it. BUT, what they did should be considered battery the guy only asked why he was cut off he made no threat on video but what he did after they were retreating might be considered assault.

Eli March 25, 2013 at 10:26 pm

i just noticed he threw the first punch lol argument invalid on the threat making. What an idiot.

Eric March 25, 2013 at 9:47 pm

It is pretty simple: the gun guy is at fault for brandishing his weapon. Remember people: you must be unwilling participants. Here white-pants dude felt or truly was slighted but white-pants dude escalated by confronting and throwing the first punch that causes three dudes jump out and stomp on the white pants guy and then break off. Then, and only THEN after the three guys have broken off, white pants guy brandishes his weapon. He is in the wrong for brandishing his weapon because he is not an unwilling/reluctant participant. No cowboy stuff when carrying, people.

Also, white-pants dude has no trigger control. Dude scares me.

Eli March 25, 2013 at 10:21 pm

if only white pants dude had drawn WHILE the beating was taken place he would have been in the right because at least in my state that’s being in fear for your life. But the threat was over then he brandished and that’s considered a threat ie ASSAULT. But what they did was flat out battery.

Eli March 25, 2013 at 10:25 pm

i just noticed he threw the first punch -_- lol my arguement is invalid. U suck ccw holder. Make us look bad.

mark March 25, 2013 at 9:49 pm

This man needs his CCW suspended or revoked. He wanted revenge and and it is not his to get. There was no imminent threat to his life after everybody was pulled over.

Paul March 25, 2013 at 9:53 pm

it really piss me off what that guy did and to that asian girl get away from him too he can cause alot of problems even i can tell he has a anger problem

Robert March 25, 2013 at 10:01 pm

When we get our CHL or CCW – we actively choose to be more patient, not to loose our temper and avoid trouble. Seems to me he doesn’t have the temperament to carry.

Roy March 25, 2013 at 11:30 pm

He allowed himself to escalate the entire confrontation, he engaged the other driver and threw a punch, resulting in a “Can of Whoop Ass” ensuing… Too many bad choices made here… His license needs to be revoked!

Roy March 25, 2013 at 11:34 pm

Edit: I just noticed the gal had the gun and handed it off!! Revoke her license too!!

480Volt March 25, 2013 at 11:51 pm

The jerk asked for an ass kicking and he got one. He should absolutely have his CCW suspended or revoked. The threat was gone yet he drew to draw his gun and aim it straight at a guy.

H Hazell March 26, 2013 at 3:26 am

The guys from the truck only broke off after the woman appears with the gun. She then hands it off to the dude. All shown really are at fault.

Brad March 26, 2013 at 3:43 am

He may not have a CCW. His wife handed him the weapon. Either way he needs to not be able to carry a firearm.

Brad March 26, 2013 at 4:14 am

The guy in the white pants should have never confronted the guy that cut him off. He also threw the first punch therefore causing the 2 guys to defend themselves. She did the right thing right up until the guys ran off and then handed the gun to him. How do any of you know he has the CCW and not her. In the state of Texas your vehicle is considered you domain so you can legally carry inside your vehicle. Anyways, this should have never happen the couple with the gun should be arrested for assault.

Chris March 26, 2013 at 4:19 am

Actually the woman fires the shot and than hands the guy the gun. But he’d still be at fault. If the incident was that bad file a police report.

franco March 26, 2013 at 4:41 am

Shouldn’t have stopped. If he had called cops they most likely would have taken his side over punks with hats on backwards.

Busa March 26, 2013 at 4:43 am

I think his girl handed him the gun. He was not carrying it. He must have had it in the car. He might not even have a permit. His girl might.

Thomas March 26, 2013 at 4:58 am

1.)A man was run off the road by a few kids. KIDS WERE IN THE WRONG 2.) Man jumps out of his car and runs up to kids car striking out at one of them. MAN WAS IN THE WRONG 3.) Kids exit there vehicle and start to strike the man with fists and knees ending with him being thrown to the ground. KIDS WERE IN THE WRONG 4.) Man’s wife grabs firearm from car and hands it off to her husband. WIFE WAS IN THE WRONG FOR HANDING THE GUN OFF TO HER HUSBAND 5.) Man points firearm at kids and they run off. MAN WAS IN THE WRONG 6.)Man puts gun away. MAN WAS IN THE WRONG

The man should have gotten there tag number and called the cops not jump out of his car and start a fight.

Rob Huckfeldt March 26, 2013 at 5:58 am

If the action of the person who almost ran him off the road was that bad, a 911 call would have been the proper response, not this rage based reaction. Call the cops, follow the offender and tell dispatch you are doing that. What this guy did was totally uncalled for. He instigated violence against another person. That person neutralized the threat and went on their way. That is what I saw. Maybe they did almost run him off the road. That can be dangerous. But there was a better way.

Gunny Doug March 26, 2013 at 6:31 am

When we carry a firearm, open or concealed, we give up the right to act on our anger.

Rick white March 26, 2013 at 9:59 am

In florida I could’ve shot that guy for punching me in my vehicle. Clearly not the kind of fodder we want the liberals to have in this day and age. Bad form.

squashpup March 26, 2013 at 2:37 pm

Had a similar situation happen to me. I was in my car, my wife was with me, my carry gun was in the console. I was on the freeway and tried to pass a trucker on the left. Trucker came over and ran me into the median. Got back on the road and tried to go around the trucker on the right (legal in my state). He cut me off again. So, the wife got on the phone and called 911.

They suggested I follow the guy until a cruiser could catch up to us. I did so across the next two county lines. Meanwhile, the trucker slowed down and tried to get me to pass. I didn’t. He then weaved over like he was going to take an exit, then cut back on at the last second, nearly hitting another car. I continued to follow. Then, he pulled over. I pulled over behind him and stayed in my car at a distance that I considered to be a very difficult pistol shot. He sat there for a long time, and eventually got back on the road, and I followed.

Finally, 25 miles later (and 10 miles past my intended exit), the police caught up with him, followed him for a short distance, and pulled him over. I again pulled over behind both of them and kept my distance. While I was waiting, another officer showed up.

After the stop, I waited for the officer who came back to tell me what was going on. Said the guy claimed he was “tired” and the cops were going to escort him to the next truck stop to make sure he got some rest. Don’t know what that meant, and I don’t know if they cited him or not, but at least nobody was hurt and hopefully this guy learned there are repercussions for driving like an a**hole.

I never took the gun out of the console, although I did have the console open and the gun in my hand when the guy stopped the first time.

If white pants guy would have done what I did instead of getting all butthurt and acting like a douche, the punks might have gotten pulled over and cited, he might not be facing jail time, and we might not be watching this video right now.

Steve Northrop March 26, 2013 at 2:52 pm

The CCW holder threw the first punch from what I can tell in the video, although what I saw only shows him approsching the vehicle, then throwing the punch. If that is an accurate portrayal of events he is clearly in the wrong. Not only for throwing the punch, but for drawing his weapon after the two who engaged him backed off. Any time I draw my weapon my intent is not to intimidate as this appeared to be, but to put an end to an altercation in which my life or someone elses is in jeapordy. This was clearly not the case in what I was able to see.
