Did this a few years ago with some books from the previous semester – just to see. One 1.5″ accounting hard back text book stopped 9, .40, .45 FMJ & & JHPs. Multiple rounds of each in the same book. Only the .40 FMJ offended the back cover, and that didnt even penetrate. I’d like to see how many it would take to stop a 5.56 round….
