Comparison of the Glock to the Ruger, as you said was somewhat,”apples to oranges.” I had an old version of the LCP 5 years ago and it was definitely a belly gun good for about 7 yards. I have a larger Ruger for fall and winter carry. I like it’s performance, even up to 30 yards. The LCP is made for summer or strictly back up. It is perfectly concealed even with a T-shirt and not at all uncomfortable. Yes, the larger pistols are good for over 7 yards, however in my state you had better have a good reason for using it. The legal distance is 21 feet. I plan on existing if possible even if the assailant is 5 ft. if I can. Preference, hand size and experience dictates ones ability to use each firearm to it’s best. Thanks for the comparison but I don’t think I will dump my Ruger LCP.
