Just a bit of history – the Russian 7.62×25 was the standard ammo in both the Russian pistols of WW II and their submachineguns, the famous PPsH 41 and 43. It was in turn a Russian copy of the standard German .30 caliber Mauser round created for the “broomhandle” Mauser automatic pistols in the WW I era.
